Coombe Castle honoured with King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade

Coombe Castle International, has been recognised for its outstanding success in international commerce with the King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade. This is the company’s fifth Enterprise award and the first from The King.

Coombe Castle International is a Wiltshire-based, family-owned specialist producer and exporter of high quality British and Irish dairy brands to 45 international markets. The award recognises growth in company turnover of 46% against the very challenging international trade conditions of the last 3 years.

Coombe Castle’s Managing Director, Darren Larvin comments:

“This has been a very successful period for the business. The award recognises our accomplishment and the invaluable contribution made by the team here to that success. Together we have grown our presence and reach in the US and Canada markets. We have also expanded in new markets including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Dominican Republic, and Belgium. With the continued investment, in people, marketing and system processes, we are well placed to grow further as we open new markets for the great British brands we export.

We are thrilled to receive our fifth Award for Enterprise in International Trade. It is a great honour for all our employees who have worked so hard over the years to grow our business. This award is recognition of their effort, their dedication and the loyalty of our suppliers and customers around the world.”

The King’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious UK business awards. The awards recognise and celebrate outstanding success of a select number of the UK’s 5.5 million businesses. Coombe Castle International is one of 148 organisations recognised in 2023.

King Charles III builds on Queen Elizabeth’s legacy by giving His Majesty’s name to these prestigious awards now in their 57th year. Throughout her Majesty’s 70-year reign, Queen Elizabeth II was committed to recognising outstanding work and acts of service by individuals and businesses. The King has continued Queen Elizabeth’s legacy of recognising the outstanding work of British businesses.

Founded in 1980, Coombe Castle International employs 35 people. The company exports its own range of luxurious creams and butter. It also markets and sells cheese brands from over 40 of the finest farms, creameries and dairies in the UK and Ireland.

Coombe Castle won the Queen’s Awards in 2001, 2007, 2013 and 2018.
