The Belton Burger
Ingredients
- 1 red onion, very finely chopped
- 500g/18oz beef mince
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 120g/4oz Belton Farm Red Fox
- 40g/1oz Belton Farm Sage Derby
- 4 burger buns
- A handful of lettuce
- 1 large tomato, sliced
To serve:
Mayonnaise, relish, ketchup and gherkins
Instructions
1. Mix the onion, mince, mustard, egg and some seasoning together then use your hands to form into 4 burgers. Cover and chill in the fridge for 10 minutes.
2. Heat a large non-stick frying pan, brush the burgers with oil and cook for 1 minute on one side then flip them over and cook for a further 3 minutes, topping with Red Fox and Sage Derby for the final minute. Once the Cheese has melted transfer the burgers to a board and lightly toast the inside of the burger buns in the frying pan, letting them soak up any juices from the burgers.
3. To serve put some lettuce on the base of each bun then top with the burgers, sliced tomatoes and any condiments.
