This traditional Welsh cheese delivers with a crumbly, delicate texture and is moist and milky. Matured for only 2 months it has a creamy taste with a fresh, lemony flavour. Originally the cheese was specially made for coalminers as its tough texture and shallow height made it easy for them to eat with bare hands while the salty, moist curd helped to replenish the lost minerals.
