Cheesy Bacon and Chive Dip

Ingredients

  • 227g (8oz) Bacon, choppen
  • 1 Medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 100g (3.5oz) Double Gloucester cheese, crumbled
  • 30ml snipped chives
  • 145ml Table Cream
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Method

  1. Fry bacon until crisp.
  2. Remove bacon and fry onion in bacon fat until soft; drain well.
  3. Place crumbled cheese into a food processor and add the bacon, chives, onion and a little cream.
  4. Blend until smooth, gradually adding remaining cream.
  5. Transfer to a small saucepan and heat gently.
  6. Stir in pepper to taste and serve warm
